Future Living Studio 2: Exploring Waste Streams
June 2012-November 2012
In collaboration with the Art and Design School (ADS) of Vietnam, HAWA, and GIZ, Future Living Studio's second project, will allow the eclectic group of designers to work first-hand on topics of waste streams and up-cycling. The criterion for the collection has always been attention to design; to think about the purpose of the product, the way it is produced, the perspective of the user, and the story behind it. FLS works to help Vietnamese producers, designers, and products compete in the global market using local and sustainable materials.
“We intend to focus on real design rather than duplication and explore giving new life to materials otherwise destined for the landfill.”
